Sport NSW have now implemented the intern program and would like to assist State Sporting Organisations (SSO) and State Sporting Organisations with a disability (SSOD) across the following work experience scope.
Sport NSW is committed to providing superior opportunities to assist main stream sport in being upskilled to meet working across the disability and inclusion area.
Young athletes from across the state will undergo an intensive education program covering everything from the dangers of drugs in sport to nutrition and financial literacy, thanks to a new ClubsNSW-funded scheme to be administered by the Regional Academies of Sport (RASi).
Sport NSW in partnership with the Office of Sport are conducting an inclusion workshop with invitations open to all State Sporting Organisations with a Disability to be held on Thursday 27 April. There will be a strong focus on collaboration with State Sporting Organisations across upskilling mainstream sport in relation to educating staff on inclusion aspects of their games. This includes coaching, officiating and participating.
On 19 - 23 April Sport NSW Disability Inclusion Promotions Officer Murray Elbourn led an inclusion sports camp with participants from physical, intellectual and sensory disabilities.
