Guest Speaker - Michael Hagan
Played 75 first grade games with the Canterbury Bulldogs before joining the Newcastle Knights in 1989. When he retired in 1993 he did so with the distinction, having never missed a game for the club, playing 111 in succession.
After serving his coaching apprenticeship with Canberra and Newcastle he took over as Head Coach of the Newcastle Knights in 2001, promptly winning the Telstra Premiership at his first attempt. He coached the Queensland State of Origin team in 2004 and 2005.
In 2010 he made a return to the State of Origin arena as Assistant Coach to Mal Meninga and played an integral role in taking the Maroons run to 8 straight series wins. When Meninga was appointed Kangaroos Coach in 2015, he immediately enlisted Hagan as his Assistant.
In 2012 he was named in a group of 5 as the first inductees into the Newcastle Knights Hall of Fame.
Event Hosted by long serving Rugby League official, Keith Onslow.
