2017 NSW Community Sports Awards Now Open!

Published Wed 12 Apr 2017

Sport NSW is delighted to launch the 2017 NSW Community Sports Awards.

Following the recent announcement by the Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres that the NSW Sports Awards will combine with the NSW Hall of Champions and be held late in 2017, Sport NSW has made a number of changes to the mid-year Community Sports Awards.

The ceremony, which will be held on Thursday 29 June, will now feature eight annual award categories focused on community and grass roots sport, recognising the outstanding achievements and contributions largely carried out by a volunteer workforce.

Nominations are now open for the 2017 NSW Community Sports Awards as well as the prestigious Sport NSW Distinguished Long Service Awards.

We invite members to nominate for the eight annual awards; Community Official, Young Official, Community Coach, Young Coach, Community Sport Administrator, Community Team, Community Club, Community Event plus the Distinguished Long Service Awards for those that have given exceptional long service to their sport.
