2023 Sports Foyer NSW Sports Industry Conference - Tickets on Sale

Sport NSW is delighted to announce that tickets are now on sale to attend the 2023 Sports Foyer NSW Sports Industry Conference.

The event will be held on Friday, 24th February at the Australian College of Physical Education Campus in Sydney Olympic Park.

The Industry Conference is a great opportunity to hear from industry and thought leaders, network and connect with the NSW Sports Sector and engage with Sport NSW Members and partners. Designed specifically for our Sport NSW members as well as the public, the conference is suitable for all levels of administration and management.

We are pleased to have Minister for Sport, The Hon. Alister Henskens MP and Shadow Minister for Sport, Ms Julia Finn MP joining us to address the sector ahead of the NSW State Election in March.  

After the launch of the 'Playing Catch Up' report late last year, attendees will be able to hear directly from both parties on what they intend to bring to sport in NSW if elected.

We are also excited to confirm our first keynote speaker for the event is Australian Sports Commission Chief Executive Officer, Kieren Perkins OAM.

Kieren Perkins OAM is regarded as one of the world’s greatest distance swimmers having won four Olympic medals. Following his retirement from swimming in 2000, Mr Perkins transferred his knowledge and experience to build a successful career across the consulting and banking sectors, including 10 years at NAB before taking on the Chief Executive Officer role at Australia’s Unity’s retail banking unit in 2021. Having seen sport from all angles over four decades, Mr Perkins is passionate about the whole sports sector, from grassroots to high performance. Mr Perkins was President of Swimming Australia until he took on the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Sports Commission in March 2022. His focus in this role is to ensure sport has a place for everyone and delivers results that make Australia proud.

As part of Sport NSW's commitment to NSW sports sector, the Industry Conference is a must attend event to network, build relationships and share knowledge through education, training, and the showcasing of industry best practise.

Open to both members of Sport NSW and the wider sporting public, the conference provides an opportunity for those staff working on the ground of NSW sport to attend a day of learning and networking with people from a wide variety of sports and sport related organisations.
