Child Safe Sport Workshops – Office of Sport

Children and young people participating in sport have the right to be safe, in clubs that are free from harm and abuse.
The Child Safe Sport workshop delivered by the Office of Sport provides training on how clubs can create safer sporting environments for children and young people.
The three-hour workshop is free and is designed for club committees, administrators and volunteers and covers:
- practical ways sport clubs can be more child safe
- creating a child safe culture
- why listening to and involving children is important
- child safety policy, procedures and recruitment
- the Working with Children Check
- useful resources, templates and tools.
