Conference Wrap Up

The first Sport NSW Industry Conference was held last Friday 23 February at ACPE in front of a sell-out audience of well over 200.
The event was a great success with a full day of education and networking opportunities for attendees from State Sporting Organisations, State Sporting Organisations with a Disability, local councils, active recreation providers as well as an array of presenters, panellists and exhibitors.
The conference had something for everyone involved in the NSW sport and recreation industry, with the theme being 'Partnerships & Collaboration'. There were break out sessions on women's sporting pathways, child safety, facility development, inclusive sport, governance, technology, data and growing participation.
The event finished with a wrap up of the day, two business card draws from our partners World Corporate Travel and Pitcher Partners as well as an insightful look at GeoSnapshot, who showcased the photos that were taken during the day which was further enhanced with their latest facial recognition software.
We give our thanks to the support of both our event Partners ACPE and the Department of Family & Community Services (FACS) who have enabled the success of this event and allowed us to keep it an economical rate so that NSW sport could receive the most benefit.
