Congratulations to our Athletes!

Congratulations to competitors from all nations at the conclusion of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. 

Over 11 days of sporting action, the world cheered on as medals were won, records broken and history made across 18 sports and seven para-sports. 

The Australia team total of 198 medals including 80 gold is the best return from an Australian Commonwealth Games team since the last home Games in Melbourne 2006. 

New South Wales was proudly represented by 118 athletes, with nearly half of those competitors making their Commonwealth Games debut, and nine representing Australia in international competition for the first time. 

Given the outstanding performances from these athletes, the NSW Champions of Sport Awards to be held in November 2018 will be an exciting contest across all categories!
