Sport NSW Female Leadership Scholarships 2022         

In 2021, Sport NSW was awarded funding to increase capacity within the industry through increased gender diversity in leadership and on boards.  The Increasing Women on Gender Inclusive Boards in NSW initiative is an 18-month pilot study program funded by the NSW Office of Sport as part of the Her Sport Her Way Year 3 Action Plan.

The program aims to support NSW State Sporting Organisations (SSO) and State Sporting Organisations for people with Disability (SSOD) to increase gender diversity on boards and in leadership roles.

Sport NSW is pleased to welcome expressions of interest (EOI) for our 2022 Female Leadership Scholarships.  The 22 sponsorships and 2 scholarships provide access for current and aspiring leaders within the industry to undertake highly respected and valued development courses through Chief Executive Women and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

We are pleased to announce the below:

Building on our relationship with the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), Sport NSW is please to provide:

• Fourteen (14) sponsored placements in the NFP Foundations of Directorship training program for aspiring female board directors and senior leaders working in sport and;
•  Two (2) full scholarship placements in the AICD Company Directors Course valued at $11, 500 each (ex GST) for female leaders advancing their directorship careers.

Sport NSW has continued our strong relationship with Chief Executive Women (CEW) to provide:

• Eight (8) sponsored placements in the highly respected CEW Leaders Program for aspiring female leaders working in sport.
