Para-cyclist Amanda Reid named Sportsperson of the Year at NAIDOC Awards

Amanda Reid, the Guringai sports star has put her disability in the review mirror and sped her way to Sportsperson of the Year at the NAIDOC Awards.
Earlier in the year, she was named as a Sport NSW Athlete of the Year with a Disability Finalist for her outstanding achievements in 2016, where she represented Australia in cycling, becoming the first female dual sport indigenous Paralympian in Rio. Read more about Amanda's achievements.
We also congratulate three-time Olympian Patrick 'Patty' Mills, named as Person of the Year. He was honoured for using his international profile as an NBA star to advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Rights. Read more about Patrick Mills.
