Sport NSW Interns Program

Published Tue 11 Apr 2017

In March this year Sophie Milton and Murray Elbourn engaged our partners at Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE) and Western Sydney University (WSU) to provide practical hours for intern programs at both organisations. ACPE have a strong coaching and administration program and WSU have an Active Therapeutic Rehabilitation course. Both of these models are vital to active sport and recreation pathways for people of all ages and ability.

Sport NSW have now implemented the intern program and would like to assist State Sporting Organisations (SSO) and State Sporting Organisations with a Disability (SSOD) across the following work experience scope.

  • Admin Support
  • Phone Calls
  • In program delivery (training may be requested)
  • One off events
  • Social Media Content

If your SSO or SSOD needs assistance please contact Cassie Browne for more information around how you can access intern support from Sport NSW.

Sport NSW will run the intern program out of Sports House at Sydney Olympic Park and it is preferably that any requests allow the interns to work from this location unless it is program delivery related on site at an event or program venue.
