Beyond Blue have recently launched a free, self paced online learning course - Mental wellbeing: support yourself and small businesses.

Recognising that the coronavirus pandemic has negatively impacted mental health, Beyond Bllue have designed the four part course to help improve mental health literacy and develop 'soft skills' that enable people to have difficult conversations with colleagues.

The course has been specifically designed for the workplace and should take no more than one hour to complete.

The course covers four key topic areas:

  1. An introduction to mental health;
  2. Look after yourself at work and at home;
  3. Check on someone’s wellbeing; and
  4. Support small business day to day.

With a mix of practical information and guidance, common work place scenarios and links to other resources, this short training will help you look out for your own mental health as well as those you work with, and even your friends and family.

This free course would be suitable for all stakeholders in the sporting sector - from paid employees to players, officials and volunteers.
