It's your last chance to register for the Sport NSW AGM and Industry Forum, to be held on Thursday, 29 October 2020 at the Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre.

You are welcome to attend either the AGM, the Industry Forum, or both - and can attend in person or virtually.

The Industry Forum will commence at 4.00pm, with a presentation from Linda Sheahan, Workplace Engagement Manager at Beyond Blue. Linda will discuss the importance of mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, a topic that is highly relevant in the current climate. With a focus on reminding leaders to support themselves, Linda will also explore ways that you can support staffing structures and other key stakeholder groups such as volunteers.

The Sport NSW AGM will follow the forum and commence no earlier than 4.45pm.

The NSW Community Sports Awards recognise outstanding achievements and contributions to community sport in NSW. These awards are focused on community and grassroots sport, including the work largely carried out by a volunteer workforce.

Due to the ongoing impacts of coronavirus and the continued uncertainty around the changing health environment, Sport NSW will be holding the 2020 NSW Community Sports Awards virtually.

The event will be held on Wednesday, 18 November 2020 from 7.00pm and will be streamed live on the Sport NSW YouTube page and Facebook page.

Nominations were sought earlier this year with over 200 nominations submitted across the ten annual categories, plus the Distinguished Long Service Awards for those that have given exceptional service for over 25 years.

The NSW Office of Children's Guardian are holding their third Communities of Practice Forum to discuss some of the challenges and successes in implementing the Child Safe Standards.

The Forum will focus on how to use the guide to implement the standards, with guest presenters from Scouts NSW speaking about their new youth safe education campaign and some of their experienced successes in an outdoor activities based environment.

Starting at 11am on Tuesday 3 November, the session will include guest presenters:

The Sydney Forum will be held on Monday, 9 November 2020 at Rosehill Gardens, with the option to attend in person or virtually.

The Para-sport Equipment Fund is a joint initiative of Paralympics Australia and Sport Australia, supported by Paralympics Australia’s sponsors and donors. It is designed to provide opportunities for Australians with disabilities to participate and compete in Para-sport by addressing the challenges associated with the high cost of Para-sport equipment.

In an Australian first, Football NSW in collaboration with Football Federation Australia and a number of Member Federations, have announced the 2020 Australian Coaching Conference.

The online conference will be held on Saturday, 28 November, featuring more than 15 presentations from some of the country's foremost experts and a keynote address from legendary Football coach Arsene Wenger.

The Sport NSW Sporting Grants Summary monitors available Grants (returning and new) from around NSW. 

Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program
This program aims to provide NSW sports clubs the opportunity to acquire an automated external defibrillator (AED) package for their club or sports facility at a reduced cost. Applications are now open, with assessments on 23 November 2020, 22 February 2021 and final applications closing at 5pm Monday, 12 April 2021.
